On October 31, 2025, the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (FEEE), Ton Duc Thang University organized a specialized session titled “Career orientation and internship, employment opportunities in semiconductor integrated circuit design” at Room B303, Tan Phong Campus. During the report session, students were equipped with additional knowledge and professional skills related to career trends in the field of semiconductor IC design, how to meet the demand for high-quality human resources in the current semiconductor industry, as were introduced to internship programs and job opportunities at IC design enterprises in Vietnam.
Attending the specialized report were representatives from the enterprise with multiple international branches, including Ms. Thao Nguyen - HR and Admin, and other experienced engineers from Global UniChip (GUC) Vietnam Ltd., together with Mr. Jayjay Hong, Master of Computer Science, NDHU, Taiwan. On the university’s side, the session welcomed the Leader of the Faculty Dr. Nguyen Huu Khanh Nhan – Vice Dean of the FEEE together with students of the FEEE, especially those majoring in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, specializing in Semiconductor Design Engineering. During the report, the speakers shared about the development trends of the IC design industry in Vietnam and abroad, the role of IC design engineers in the high-tech industrial value chain, the modern IC design process, as well as the necessary professional and soft skills that students should prepare. The session also introduced internship and employment opportunities alongside an insight into the working environment at IC design companies.
After the report session, students gained a clearer understanding of their career orientation and recognized the importance of improving professional knowledge and practical skills in the field of IC design. The activity contributed to helping students of FEEE strengthen their career orientation while enhancing the connection between the university and enterprises in training high-quality human resources for the semiconductor industry.
