Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Welcomes Delegation from Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM): Strengthening Academic Collaboration and Sharing Expertise on Energy Efficiency Technologies
On the afternoon of July 29, 2026, the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (FEEE), Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) warmly welcomed a delegation from the Faculty of Electrical Technology and Engineering, Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) at Meeting Room B, Tan Hung Campus. As part of the visit, the two faculties signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) to establish future cooperation and organized an academic seminar entitled "Energy Efficiency Technology and Measures."
Representing UTeM were Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Mohamad Fani bin Sulaima, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Technology and Engineering; Dr. Mohd Hafiz bin Jali, Deputy Dean (Research and Postgraduate Studies); and Mr. Muhammad Farhan bin Mohammad Asri, Deputy Registrar (Academic Affairs).
Representing TDTU were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thanh Phuong, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Van Van, Vice Dean; together with faculty members of the Faculty.
The program commenced with an academic presentation by the UTeM delegation on "Energy Efficiency Technology and Measures," introducing advanced technologies and innovative solutions for improving energy efficiency in electrical and industrial systems. The seminar provided valuable insights into emerging technological trends, energy-saving strategies, and sustainable development practices in the field of electrical and electronics engineering. The presentation was followed by an engaging discussion, during which faculty members from both institutions exchanged ideas, research experiences, and perspectives, fostering stronger academic connections and collaboration.
A key highlight of the event was the signing ceremony of the Letter of Intent (LoI) between the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Ton Duc Thang University, and the Faculty of Electrical Technology and Engineering, Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka. The agreement establishes a foundation for future collaboration in areas such as faculty and student exchange, joint research projects, co-organization of international conferences and seminars, curriculum development, and the expansion of academic partnerships between Vietnam and Malaysia.
On this occasion, the Faculty of Electrical Technology and Engineering, Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) also presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Ton Duc Thang University in recognition of its warm hospitality, collaborative spirit, and valuable contributions to the success of the academic exchange program.
The event concluded successfully, marking another significant milestone in the Faculty's ongoing efforts to expand international cooperation. Beyond providing an opportunity for academic exchange and knowledge sharing, the program laid a solid foundation for future collaborative research, educational initiatives, and the development of high-quality human resources in electrical and electronics engineering, contributing to international integration and sustainable development.
