Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Organizes the 2026 Alumni and Industry Networking Program

On June 6, 2026, at Room A0403, Ton Duc Thang University, the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering successfully organized the 2026 Alumni and Industry Networking Program, combined with the reorganization and strengthening of the Faculty’s Alumni Liaison Committee.

The program was held to enhance connections among the Faculty, its alumni across generations, industry partners, and current students. It also served as a meaningful activity in celebration of the 30th Anniversary of Ton Duc Thang University, contributing to the development of the alumni network and expanding opportunities for collaboration in education, scientific research, recruitment, internships, and human resource development.

The event was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thanh Phuong, Dean of the Faculty; Dr. Nguyen Huu Khanh Nhan, Vice Dean of the Faculty; faculty members and staff; representatives from industry partners; alumni; and students of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thanh Phuong emphasized the importance of strengthening connections among the Faculty, industry, and alumni in improving educational quality, promoting applied research, expanding career opportunities for students, and enhancing the relationship between the University and society. He highlighted that the alumni network is a valuable resource that can actively support the Faculty in professional, academic, career-oriented, and industry collaboration activities.

One of the key highlights of the program was the reorganization of the Alumni Liaison Committee of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The Committee serves as a bridge between the Faculty and its alumni community, facilitating communication, organizing networking activities, promoting professional knowledge sharing, supporting students, connecting businesses, and contributing to the Faculty’s sustainable development.

The restructured Alumni Liaison Committee consists of:

  • Mr. Tran Anh Tuan – Alumnus of Electrical Engineering;
  • Mr. Vo Tan Dat – Alumnus of Electrical Engineering;
  • Mr. Tran Quoc Ha – Alumnus of Electrical Engineering;
  • Mr. Mai Minh Man – Alumnus of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering;
  • Mr. Pham Dinh Sang – Alumnus of Mechatronics Engineering.

      Representing the Alumni Liaison Committee, Mr. Phan Thanh Tai, M.Sc., Head Coordinator of the Committee, shared its strategic directions for the coming years. The Committee will continue collaborating with the Faculty to organize networking events, specialized seminars, career talks, industry engagement activities, internship and employment support programs, startup initiatives, and community service projects. In addition, the Committee will work on updating the alumni database, expanding membership, and fostering a stronger and more sustainable alumni community.

      During the sharing session, representatives from industry and alumni delivered insightful presentations on emerging technologies, workforce demands, and collaboration opportunities in engineering and technology fields. Mr. Dang Nhat Duy, Director of Nexora Technology Co., Ltd. and an alumnus of Control and Automation Engineering, shared perspectives on current industry technology trends, highlighting the growing roles of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Computing, and IoT/Automation in modern systems. He also discussed the competencies and skills that employers increasingly expect from graduates in the era of technological transformation.

      Mr. Mai Minh Man introduced innovative applications in the cultivation of black termite mushrooms using the MUSHROOM GUARD AI technology platform, demonstrating how advanced technologies can be effectively integrated into agricultural production and entrepreneurial ventures.

      Mr. Ho Viet Tin, Founder of NIKA LIGHTING Co., Ltd., shared his experiences in architectural lighting design—an emerging professional field with increasing demand in Vietnam. His presentation provided valuable industry insights and highlighted workforce requirements in this sector.

      In addition to the contributions from industry representatives and alumni, Dr. Nguyen Huu Khanh Nhan, Vice Dean of the Faculty, introduced the Faculty’s research groups, collaboration opportunities, and postgraduate admission programs. This session provided participants with a deeper understanding of the Faculty’s research directions, academic strengths, potential cooperation opportunities, and postgraduate study and research pathways.

      The 2026 Alumni and Industry Networking Program concluded in a warm, open, and meaningful atmosphere. Through this event, the connections among the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, industry partners, alumni, and students were further strengthened, creating a solid foundation for future cooperation in education, research, recruitment, student support, and the promotion of Ton Duc Thang University’s reputation and values.
