On the morning of September 26th, 2025, at Meeting room C010, Ton Duc Thang University, the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (FEEE) collaborated with industry partners to hold a specialized report session "Applications of Connectors in the Design and Manufacturing of Products such as Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, Robots, Automation, and Telecommunications" for students. At the report session, students were introduced to the role and practical applications of various types of connectors in the design and manufacturing of high-tech products. This event aimed to enhance students' analytical skills, practical application of technical solutions in real-world projects, and foster innovative thinking and scientific research.
Attending the specialized report session were guest representatives from the businesses, including Mr. Ron Goh - APAC Sales Director, Hirose Electric Singapore Pte. Ltd.; Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai Trang and Ms. Khuat Ngoc Mai - Marketing Assistant Managers, Hirose Vietnam Branch; along with Ms. An Thi Thuy Dung - Business Manager, and Mr. Nguyen Truong Duc - Chief Engineer, Le Champ – Hirose's supplier partner in Vietnam. Representing the University were the Leaders of the FEEE and Lecturers from the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications, along with a large number of FEEE students, especially those majoring in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. At the specialized report session, the main content revolved around introducing HRS (Hirose Electric Singapore) and LCS (Le Champ), clarifying their significant role in the high-tech, automation, and telecommunications industries. In particular, the business representatives provided an in-depth presentation on the application of connectors in modern fields such as Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (Drones), Automated Factories and Robots, and BTS Stations and telecommunication systems. Specific connector types such as I/O, Ethernet, W2B, FPC/FFC, B2B, Card, and Optical Connector were also presented in detail regarding their application in product design and manufacturing. At the end of the program, the enterprises also donated sample kits to the FEEE and provided career orientation and Q&A for the students.
Through the specialized report session, students gained a clearer perspective on the advanced connector technologies used in practice, helping to bridge academic knowledge with the practical requirements of the industry. Furthermore, the event helps to strengthen relationships and cooperation between the Faculty, the University, and businesses such as Hirose and Le Champ, creating conditions for students to access new technologies and future career opportunities.
