The qualifying round of the contest "TDTU Startup Wings 2024”

To help students have the opportunity to connect multi-disciplinary thinking, unleash their creativity to develop ideas into reality and start a successful business. On the afternoon of April 6, 2024, in meeting room C, the Qualifying round of the "TDTU Startup Wings 2024" competition was held by the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (FEEE), Ton Duc Thang University in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh City Electrical Engineering Association (HEEA) and Lin Ka Service Company Limited.

           Participating in the competition was a jury including Dr. Nguyen Huu Khanh Nhan - Vice Dean of the FEEE, Dr. Vu Tri Vien - Head of Automation and Control Department, Dr. Tran Dinh Cuong - Deputy Head of Electrical Engineering Department, MSc. Phan Thanh Tai – Leader of Alumni Liaison, and lecturers of the FEEE. There were also judges from Ho Chi Minh City Electrical Engineering Association (HEEA) and Lin Ka Services Company Limited including Mr. Nguyen Hai Phung - Director of Lin Ka Services Company Limited, Mr. Nguyen Huu Vinh - Deputy Head of the Organization and Personnel Department of Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation (EVN HCMC). In the qualifying round, contestants will present and defend their ideas in front of the panel to get to the final round. The contest attracted 50 talented contestants, from 13 groups participating in the Qualifying Round. The contestants excellently presented their ideas with countless interesting initiatives.

          In the qualifying round, the jury selected the 03 best ideas to enter the final round, the total qualifying round prize was 12 million VND with each idea being allocated a budget of 4,000,000 VND for groups to carry out the project. There are three ideas comprising “The residential electrical load monitoring system with integrated backup power”, “A Braille learning support device”, and “Automatic parking lot combined with IoT”. It is expected that the Final Round will take place from June 17 to June 30, 2024.
