Introduction
The Evolutionary Algorithm Modeling, Simulation and Artificial Intelligence Research Group (MERLIN) was established in 2013 with funding from Ton Duc Thang University. MERLIN's research goal is to focus on complex systems and non-traditional computing.
Mission and Vision
MERLIN's research activities include fundamental research such as (improving evolutionary algorithms, developing new evolutionary algorithms, and combining evolutionary algorithms with artificial intelligence) and applied research such as (applying evolutionary algorithms and artificial intelligence to optimal control, power system stability control, load frequency stability control, and robot control).
Main Research Directions
MERLIN focuses on non-traditional computing algorithms, Chaos theory, sliding mode control, adaptive control, simulation, identification, and control of complex systems.
