On the morning of December 7, 2024, in Room D0903, the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (FEEE) at Ton Duc Thang University organized a workshop titled “Embedded Systems and IoT”. This is an important activity in the student work plan for the 2024-2025 academic year, aiming to support students in supplementing specialized knowledge and practicing skills in applying IoT technology in the field of embedded systems.
The session attracted the participation of FEEE lecturers and students. Notably, it featured advisors from the Electronics Club, including MSc. Nguyen Thanh Quang and MSc. Hoang Le Quang Nhat, as well as a large number of students. The program offered diverse content, starting with an overview of embedded systems, introducing fundamental components, and discussing the roles of sensors and actuators. Following this, students explored and practiced using ESP32 boards—a popular embedded board in IoT applications. Hands-on activities included reading and displaying sensor values, controlling devices via direct buttons, and utilizing the ERa platform for Internet-based monitoring and control of devices.
The workshop on “Embedded Systems and IoT” was not only a learning opportunity but also an occasion for students to interact and exchange ideas with lecturers and peers, fostering creative thinking. Through practical activities, students gained familiarity with advanced technologies and clearer directions for their studies, research, and future careers.
Concluding the session, students expressed satisfaction with the valuable knowledge and hands-on experience they gained in embedded systems and IoT. These acquired skills not only boost their confidence in academic pursuits but also open up new opportunities for research and technological development.
