Students of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering won the Second and Third prizes in the “Searching Start-up Ideas for TDTU students in 2023” competition

On the afternoon of November 28, 2023, the final round of the "TDTU Student Startup Idea Contest 2023" took place at the 10F auditorium, Ton Duc Thang University. After nearly 4 hours of competition through 2 stages (Stage 1 - Presentation and Defense, Stage 2 - Answering situational questions posed by the Jury), the students of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering excellently won the Second and Third prizes.

The student group consisting of Phạm Khanh Phong, Duong Chan Viet, Tran Troy, Le Huynh Tuan Kiet, with the idea of a “Fire Escape Map System”, won the second prize. The group’s idea is to design a fire escape map system based on a real building and use artificial intelligence to detect when a fire occurs. The system will then automatically guide the fastest and safest evacuation route to help people evacuate.

The student group consisting of Truong Van Tien, Tran Quang Phuc, Le Nguyen Hoang Nam, with the idea of a "Saltwater Filtration System", won the third prize. The group's idea is to create a water filter product with specialized filter cores that can filter sediment and dirt in salt-contaminated water and through an RO filter to completely treat salt water. After the filtration process, people can use this water source for daily activities. The idea is to help people in the Western region access clean water and domestic water to avoid future health impacts.
