On December 8, 2024, the Organizing Committee of the 26th Student Scientific Research Competition - Euréka held the Closing and Award Ceremony of the competition. The results of the student group Tran Quang Phuc, Truong Van Tien, Le Nguyen Hoang Nam with the topic "Building measuring equipment for saltwater treatment systems" in the field of Technology Engineering, guided by Dr. Vu Tri Vien, won the Encouragement Prize.
The project of the saline water treatment system operates based on the principle of the difference in input and output pressure to remove salt molecules, impurities, heavy metals, and microorganisms. Accordingly, the water flow will be pushed through the RO membrane core thanks to the pressure created by the pump, converting seawater into fresh water for daily drinking and living. The system is fully automatic and monitored in a closed process with sensors placed at the input and output of the system, ensuring that the output water source is always of stable quality.
In particular, the system also has separate filtering modes to personalize for different needs such as living, drinking water and irrigation with each standard level of PH and TDS. In addition, the system can operate according to a pre-set schedule based on the timer mode. With the advantages as well as the new features in the product and mobility, the system can be applied in practice to bring clean water to people in saltwater areas.
