On the morning of December 4, 2022, the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (FEEE) of Ton Duc Thang University organized a tour for students to visit the Ho Chi Minh Museum and Nha Rong Habour. This extracurricular activity aimed to raise the spirit of national pride through learning about the life of our venerable President Ho Chi Minh. Besides, this was also an opportunity to relax and have meaningful experiences after a hard time studying.
At the beginning of the tour, students could admire the majestic statue of Nguyen Tat Thanh in the museum courtyard. Following was the introduction by the guide about the exhibition house divided into rooms with topics about Uncle Ho's life and milestones in revolutionary activities. Subsequently, students were divided into small groups to collect information from the gallery about President Ho Chi Minh in childhood and youth, the resistance against the French and America, etc. Through group division and self-inquiry activities, the students were able to deeply understand the major imprints in Uncle Ho's life and career such as the year of birth and year of Uncle's death (1890-1969), the arduous story he suffered when working in France and America, especially the day he read the Declaration of Independence of Vietnam (2/9/1945). Ultimately, the group of students went to burn incense at the memorial room of President Ton Duc Thang.
All in all, not only did the tour arouse in each student a sense of self-reliance and national pride, but also encourage them to express their gratitude for Uncle Ho because of his contributions without needing to reciprocate. He had a big dream and hoped to carry it successfully: the context of the Vietnamese revolution in the future. Students would study and follow his shining moral example permanently.
