Specialized report session on Sensor Technology for Students of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering

On March 27, 2025, the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (FEEE) of Ton Duc Thang University organized a specialized report session via the Google Meet platform with the topic: "Introduction to Motion Sensing and Its Applications"

The specialized report session had the participation of Prof. Wen-Yen Lin from Chang Gung University, Taiwan. On the representative side of the FEEE, there was the participation of Dr. Huynh Van Van – Vice Dean of Faculty, along with students from the FEEE. At the beginning of the specialized report session, Prof. Wen-Yen Lin provided an overview for students on motion sensors, inertial sensors for measuring motion such as accelerometers, and various useful information. Following that, the Professor also shared the applications of motion sensors such as the method of measuring the mechanical oscillations of the heart to evaluate cardiac function (Mechanocardiography-MCG) or experiments on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and data collection, feedback from the system.

The specialized report session provided valuable information, helping students gain a better understanding of motion sensors and their practical applications. This was also an opportunity for students to access new knowledge, stimulate curiosity, and inspire their passion for learning to serve their field of study.
