On the morning of May 9, 2026, at Room C010, Tan Hung Campus, Ton Duc Thang University, the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (FEEE) organized a seminar titled “Modern Electrical Engineering Technology and Digital Transformation Trends in Industry 4.0” for students. The seminar provided students with updates on emerging technological trends such as digital transformation, smart power systems, and renewable energy. The event aimed to strengthen the connection between the Faculty and industry partners, while also helping students better understand the implementation process of advanced engineering solutions in real industrial environments.
The speaker of the seminar was Mr. Truong Thanh Chung, Director of the Joint Stock Company of Energy-Saving Solutions Technology. Representatives from the University, including lecturers from the Department of Electrical Engineering, together with a large number of students from the Faculty, attended the event.
During the seminar, the main topics included an overview of digital transformation trends in electrical engineering, smart grid models, and the application of SCADA and IoT systems in monitoring and operating power systems. In particular, the speaker delivered in-depth presentations on renewable energy technologies such as solar and wind power, as well as Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) techniques for power optimization. Common industrial control systems such as PLC, DCS, and HMI were also discussed in detail, along with the integration of industrial robots and cloud computing into smart factory models. At the end of the program, the expert shared insights on recruitment demands, essential technical and soft skills, and provided career orientation guidance while answering students’ questions.
Through the seminar, students gained a clearer understanding of advanced engineering solutions currently applied in industry, bridging academic knowledge with practical production environments. The event not only expanded professional knowledge but also strengthened collaboration between the FEEE and industry, creating opportunities for students to enhance their career awareness and access new technologies in the future.
