On the morning of January 12, 2024, the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (FEEE), Ton Duc Thang University held the qualifying round of the contest "Mitsubishi Electric Cup Automation - MECA 2024". The judge members consist of Mr. Nguyen Thanh Liem from MEVN, Dr. Vu Tri Vien – Head of Automation and Control Department and lecturers from the FEEE: Dr. Le Anh Tuan, Dr. Vo Huu Hau, Dr. Tran Duc Anh Minh, MSc. Nguyen Quang Dung, MSc. Thieu Quang Tri.
The competition attracted the participation of many students studying Control and Automation Engineering major and Mechatronics Engineering major at the FEEE. At the competition, the teams presented their initiatives and solutions in applying automation and mechatronics to solve problems encountered in life and industry. The results included 03 groups winning the best idea awards, including: Map system guiding escape when there is a fire; System to check the quality, classify wood, and manage the warehouse automatically; and Straw suction tube.
The MECA 2024 final competition is expected to take place in the first half of 2024, and the current participating teams have prepared carefully for the product as well as the spirit to participate well in the upcoming competition.
