MECA 2025 – A National-Scale Technology Competition
The “Mitsubishi Electric Cup” is an annual nationwide competition sponsored by Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam, bringing together top teams from leading universities across Vietnam. Under the theme “Where Technology Meets Creativity,” the national final of MECA 2025 is scheduled to take place from June 20 to 21, 2025, at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH).
TDTU’s Journey: Three Consecutive Years of Excellence
This marks the third consecutive year that TDTU has organized the university-level qualifying round and selected a team to compete in the national finals. This year’s competition at TDTU attracted significant interest from FEEE students, with 11 teams submitting their applications. Following the preliminary round, the five teams with the most outstanding solutions advanced to the semi-finals.
At the semi-final stage, the teams showcased innovative ideas, applying theoretical knowledge to address real-world challenges in daily life and industrial settings. Their solutions creatively and effectively utilized MEVN’s equipment and technology, highlighting the students’ ingenuity and practical skills.
Impressive Results
After compelling presentations and discussions, the top three projects were selected:
- Control and Management System for Continuous Liquid Filling
- Application of Delta Robot and Computer Vision in Product Sorting and Arrangement
- Automated Clothing Folding and Packaging System
These winning teams will refine their projects in preparation for the national finals, set to occur on June 20&21, 2025, at HUTECH.
Looking Ahead
The semi-final round not only provided TDTU students an opportunity to showcase their talents but also served as a solid stepping stone toward conquering MECA 2025. Let’s look forward to the remarkable performances of our teams at the national stage!
