On the morning of December 17, 2022, the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (FEEE), Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) held the qualifying round of the contest "Mitsubishi Electric Cup Automation - MECA 2023". The judge members consist of Mr. Nguyen Thanh Liem from MEVN and lecturers from the FEEE: Dr. Vu Tri Vien, Dr. Le Anh Tuan, Dr. Vo Huu Hau, Dr. Tran Duc Anh Minh, MSc. Nguyen Quang Dung, MSc. Thieu Quang Tri.
The competition has been attracted by 13 teams consisting of 48 students from Automation and Control Engineering and Mechatronics Engineering majors of the FEEE. At the competition, the teams have presented their initiatives and solutions in order to apply what they have learnt in application of automation and mechatronics techniques to solve problems encountered in life and industry. Among of them, there were 03 groups that were awarded as the best idea solutions:
- Topic 1: Cordyceps Cultivation System;
- Topic 2: Digital Twin System Development for a Welding Robot;
- Topic 3: Sea Water Purifier.
After the competition, the team with the topic of “Cordyceps Cultivation System” has been selected to represent TDTU to compete in the final round of MECA 2023. The final round will be taking place in July 15, 2023 at Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
