In order to create opportunities for students to apply the knowledge in the problems as well as improve students' programming thinking ability. The Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (FEEE), Ton Duc Thang University organized a contest called "Application of MATLAB Programming Techniques in Signal Processing" for students. The competition took place from March 17, 2026 to March 28, 2026 with the participation of nearly 1,500 faculty students.
After the online qualifying round held from March 17-19, 2026, the top 20 outstanding contestants officially advanced to the finals. Notably, alongside second and third-year students, the competition also witnessed impressive breakthroughs from many first-year students - newcomers to MATLAB who enthusiastically embraced the challenge.
On March 28, 2026, the contestants in the final round entered the important competition with 90 minutes to solve the problems given by the Organizing Committee. The questions were inspired by real-life situations in the field of signal processing, requiring contestants to not only master MATLAB tools but also demonstrate scientific thinking and creativity. After a stressful time, the contestants completed the competition excellently, bringing impressive results. The Organizing Committee awarded prestigious prizes to the contestants with the best achievements, including the first prize to Huynh Nhat Bin, the second prize to Do Hoang Minh Han, the third prize to Trinh Minh Gia Huy and the consolation prize to Trinh Hoang Khanh Vy.
This competition served as both a valuable academic platform and a testament to the training quality and research spirit of students of FEEE at Ton Duc Thang University in digital signal processing using MATLAB. The Organizing Committee hopes this event will continue to grow in coming years, motivating students to persistently learn and conquer new challenges.
