The Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering works with SMEDEC Center to organize Robot Contest for students

On the last Wednesday afternoon, May 10, 2023, the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (FEEE) had a working session with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Support Center (SMEDEC) at the A101 meeting room to discuss the preparation of the Robot Contest for students.

           At the working session, there was the presence of Dr. Dong Si Thien Chau - Dean of the FEEE, Dr. Huynh Van Van – Assistant Dean, and Dr. Vu Tri Vien - Lecturer of the Department of Automation and Control Engineering. On the side of SMEDEC center, there was Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha - in charge of economic activities of small and medium enterprises in the South, Vietnam. During the working session, to ensure that students have enough time to complete the robot design before the exam time and prepare for participation, the organizers have selected a date as July 7, 2023 and the contest will be held at the SECC exhibition center in District 7, HCMC. Participants will be representatives of students from different universities including Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Ton Duc Thang University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education, Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport and two more units are expected. At the same time, the center will provide the university with a robot car named THOUZER so students of all universities can come and consult. The organizers will let each university send three students, one lecturer, and two pre-students to attend. The FEEE and the SMEDEC center also discussed the award structure that would include three prizes and set up a question bank to ensure fairness.

          The working session ended with the organization of a healthy and rewarding competition to create opportunities for students to develop specialized skills necessary for future job opportunities.
