I. PROGRAM INTRODUCTION

Doctoral program of Electrical Engineering is built base on doctoral programs of Electrical Engineering and Energy Management at top 100 prestigious universities in the world: Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford University, Carnegie Mellon University, University of Oxford, Harvard University, University of Cambridge, National University of Singapore, University of Tokyo,… The doctoral program of Electrical Engineering helps PhD students to complete and improve their knowledge, advanced understanding of electrical engineering in a creative way; broaden their knowledge of related industries; support PhD students to develop research ability and problem-solving ability in their professional fields.

Doctoral program is mainly by self-study and self-researches under the guidance of advisor, scientists. Doctoral program helps PhD students to improve scientific research habit, developing creative thinking in discovering and solving professional problems.

II. THE EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES:

- Advanced knowledge and understanding about power system optimization and stability, new technology in power system, renewable energy, intelligent electric machine control, robotics, nonlinear control, new protocols for data networking, semiconductor materials, data processing and  expertise knowledge related to PhD thesis.

IV. RESEARCH TOPICS:

- Load frequency control, voltage control

- Optimal Operation in Power System.

- Intelligent Control – Neural Networks, Fuzzy Logic, Evolutionary, PSO, Cuckoo Search, etc.

- Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency. There are energy groups:

+ Renewable Energy Sources (Wind, Solar) → effectiveness, control, application.

+ Saving Energy Equipment → popular uses, energy efficiency, marketing target.

+ Energy Management → automation, smart, and flexible solutions.

+ Intelligent electric machine control, robotics

+ New protocols for data networking, semiconductor materials, data processing

  3. Certified true copies of Master Degree certificates and transcripts (attached English translation if transcripts are in a foreign language)
  4. Certified true copies of Bachelor Degree certificates and transcripts (attached English translation if transcripts are in a foreign language)
  5. Research publications (all files of published papers)
  6. Statement of purpose (500 words) in TDTU format
  7. Two (02) Reference letters (at least one (01) letter of Master thesis’s advisor)
  8. Passport (copy)
  9. Photograph (3x4 cm)
  10. Health check report (within the last 6 months)
  11. Applicants who completed their degree in a language other than English are required to submit evidence of English proficiency
  12. Bank guarantee (saving book in valid until the application submission deadline)
  13. Criminal record (within the last 6 months)
