Graduate admission - Master - Electrical Engineering

I. PROGRAM INTRODUCTION

The master's degree program in electrical engineering will combine two majors, Electrical Engineering and Energy Management. Students will study the subjects of basic knowledge and compulsory subjects, then choose intensive orientation according to the elective subjects. This maximizes the ability of students to equip them with practical knowledge to effectively serve their work and study interests. This is also the highlight, the difference of the Master's degree in Electrical Engineering at Ton Duc Thang University compared to all other schools jointly trained in this industry.

II. THE EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES

- Understand and identify key problems to solve in scientific research; select the suitable methods and solutions for the problem; know how to deploy and modify the solution in the process of practical application.

- Advanced knowledge and understanding of power system optimization and stability; SCADA and Smart Grid; knowledge of electricity market and energy management.

- Expertise to find and solve problems in the field of electrical engineering in a creative way, such as: station automation; application of artificial intelligence in the operation, design and control of electrical systems; reliability analysis and risk assessment in electrical systems; renewable energy and efficiency energy management; energy project management, ...

III. CAREER OPPORTUNITIES:

- Consultants, managers and leaders of domestic and international companies.

- Companies and/or brand establishment.

- Lecturer, researcher at universities, colleges and institutes.

- Participate in domestic and international doctoral programs.

- Participate in researcher groups in the field of electrical engineering and/or have research papers and/or application products published in subject category journals and conferences.

IV. RESEARCH TOPICS:

- Optimal Operation in Power System.

- Intelligent Control – Neural Networks, Fuzzy Logic, Evolutionary, PSO, Cuckoo Search, etc.

- Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency. There are energy groups:

+ Renewable Energy Sources (Wind, Solar) → effectiveness, control, application.

+ Saving Energy Equipment → popular uses, energy efficiency, marketing target.

+ Energy Management → automation, smart, and flexible solutions.
