Students of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering attend the Conference on AI Applications in Automation and Robotics and Enterprise Exhibition

On the morning of November 29, 2025, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), lecturers and students from the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (FEEE), Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) attended the conference “Training Activities and Research on AI Applications in Automation and Robotic Systems in Vietnam” organized by the Vietnam Automation Association. The event brought together many experts, researchers, and enterprises in the fields of automation and artificial intelligence, providing students with opportunities to access practical knowledge and gain insights into technological trends shaping modern industry.

The delegation consisted of lecturers from the Department of Automation and Control Engineering and more than 40 students from the majors of Automation and Control Engineering and Mechatronics Engineering. With the guidance of MSc. Nguyen Quang Dung and MSc. Nguyen Ho, students gained clearer professional orientation, better understood industry demands, and learned about key technologies driving digital transformation and smart manufacturing.

During the conference, students listened to several in-depth technical reports, including topics such as bio-inspired fish robotics, machine vision in agricultural robots, the role of robotics in smart factories, and the AI workforce training program for ABB robotics. These presentations helped students better understand how AI is integrated into automation systems and how these technologies are applied in real-world industrial environments.

In addition to the conference sessions, the delegation also visited the Automation Equipment Exhibition, which showcased multi-axis industrial robots, advanced mechatronic devices, automated production lines, machine vision technologies, and AI-based industrial applications. This was a valuable opportunity for students to directly observe equipment, learn about their operating principles, and experience technologies that they had previously encountered only through simulations or classroom theory.

Through this event, students not only expanded their technical knowledge but also gained practical experience, helping them better orient their scientific research, graduation projects, and long-term career development. The program contributes to portraying TDTU students as dynamic, confident, and well-prepared individuals ready to embrace Industry 4.0 with its many challenges and opportunities.
