Specialized report session: “Innovative Startups in Sustainable Development: Technologies, Models, and Opportunities for Students of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering”

On the morning of November 7, 2025, at room C010, the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (FEEE), Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) successfully organized a specialized report session titled “Innovative Startups in Sustainable Development: Technologies, Models, and Opportunities for Students of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering.” The specialized report session aimed to equip students with current innovation trends, enhance essential soft skills such as analytical thinking and creativity, and especially foster the entrepreneurial spirit. It also served as a platform for students to develop their innovative ideas into practical models, applying their academic knowledge to real-world startup projects with confidence. The event welcomed several distinguished guests and speakers, including MSc. Phan Van Hiep – Director of Green Energy Solution Technology  Co., Ltd.; Dr. Duong Thi Thuy Van – Director of the Center for Innovation and Technology Transfer; Dr. Tran Thanh Phuong – Dean of the Faculty of FEEE; and Dr. Nguyen Huu Khanh Nhan – Vice Dean, along with faculty lecturers and students from the Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering major.

At the beginning of the specialized report session, MSc. Phan Van Hiep introduced a solar-powered dryer model integrated with sensors, IoT, and 5G technology, designed to optimize energy efficiency and minimize environmental impacts. He emphasized that successful entrepreneurship must be grounded in ethics, perseverance, and a deep understanding of customer needs such as energy and labor savings. From this foundation, entrepreneurs can create distinctive and innovative products that stand out in the market. He also highlighted the importance of intellectual property rights and diligence as key factors in achieving startup success. In closing, he encouraged students with startup ideas to boldly participate in entrepreneurship competitions, whether large or small, as these experiences serve as valuable stepping stones toward future achievements.

Through this specialized report session, students gained valuable knowledge, inspiration, and practical insights for their entrepreneurial journeys. MSc. Hiep also encouraged them to make full use of the knowledge and skills learned at the university to continuously improve their models and ideas.
