On the morning of September 16th, 2021, the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (FEEE) of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) and FESTO Co., Ltd. coordinated to organize an online seminar. The seminar introduced about career trends as well as the application of the company's software for online teaching and learning platforms. The seminar has the presence of expert Mr. Truong Ngoc Hoang from FESTO company. On the side of TDTU, there were the presence of Dr. Dong Si Thien Chau - Dean of the FEEE, the lectures and students from Department of Automation and Control Engineering.
At the beginning of the seminar, Mr. Truong Ngoc Hoang introduced the development process and orientation of FESTO company in the future. The expert also mentioned the smart education trends through online platforms such as e-learning. Education trends are based on factors such as modern infrastructure, methods and training programs are updated regularly, etc. Besides, the expert also introduced more about the solutions such as "STEM" education for supporting secondary and high school students. In addition, the company also has other solutions such as factory automation, MPS station building, Smart Factory, Smart Lab etc. Then, representative of the company introduced Fluid SIM 6 software. This is a comprehensive software to stimulate creativity through simulation as well as detailed description of components in a vivid visual way. Not only that, but the software also guides and studies electro-pneumatic, electro-hydraulic circuits, etc.
At the end of the seminar, FESTO company shared more about Festo LX which is an online learning portal of students and lecturers that the company has developed. This learning portal will provide students with courses and knowledge to guide their personal learning path as well as bring convenience for lecturers. Moreover, it also can supervise the learning process of each student when using the software. After that, the expert answered some questions from students and lecturers. Through the seminar, students can update the trend of Industry 4.0 along with career positions after graduation as well as the FEEE hopes to have more cooperation with FESTO company in the future.
