Seminar on Hexagon MSC Comprehensive Simulation Technology for Electric Vehicle

To strengthen the cooperation relationship between the Faculty, the University, and the Enterprises, on the afternoon of November 04, 2022, in the meeting room C (Tan Phong Campus), the seminar on Hexagon MSC comprehensive simulation technology for electric vehicle has been co-organized by Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (FEEE), Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), and NHK Vietnam Co., Ltd.

NHK Vietnam was established to meet the demand for technical solutions aimed at improving production and enhancing the competitiveness of enterprises. In addition, NHK Vietnam also provides complete solutions, from design and production management to capacity improvement of the workforce. The main partners of NHK Vietnam include but not limited to: PTC, MSC Software Corporation, The ACS Group, etc.

Representing for TDTU at the seminar was Dr. Tran Thanh Phuong – Vice Dean of the Faculty, lecturers and researchers of the FEEE, and approximately 50 students of Control & Automation Engineering and Mechatronics Engineering majors. On the partner side, we welcomed Mr. Long Doan – Sales Manager – Hexagon MI Vietnam, Mr M. Kemarol – Technical and Business Development Manager – Hexagon MI, and Hexagonexperts Mrs. Siti Hajar Adni Mustaffa and Mr. Santosh Ner.

During the seminar, Mr. Long Doan gave an overview of MSC Software Unit in Hexagon, a global information technology company founded in 1992 and headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden. After that, the experts of the Hexagon company gave an overview as well as the details of the simulation solutions for electric vehicles such as structural simulation, CFD thermal management simulation, and battery manufacturing.

At the end of the seminar, lecturers and students of the FEEE asked questions and discussed with experts from Hexagon the possibility of applying electric vehicle simulation solutions from MSC Software to the teaching and studying activities at the university. The raised issues will generate new ideas for the students in the learning process and future research. The seminar is an opportunity for students to access new technology information and collect new knowledge to improve themselves.
