The semi-final round of TDTU Start up Wings Contest 2023

On Friday (February 17, 2023), the semi-final of the TDTU Start-up Wings 2023 competition was held in Meeting Room B. The competition was organized by the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (FEEE) in collaboration with the Enterprise Cooperation and Alumni Center and BGS Global Vietnam. In this semi-final round, the students will present and defend their ideas in front of the council to enter the final round and be granted 5,000,000 VND of funding to turn their ideas into reality.

           Participating in the contest on the part of the jury including Dr. Huynh Van Van – Assistant Dean of the FEEE, lecturers Dr. Vu Tri Vien and Dr. Nguyen Van Dung from the Control and Automation Department. On the side of BGS Global, in the presence of Mr. Truong Quoc Bao - Deputy General Director, Ms. Dang Thi Thuy Phuong - Representative member. The contest also took place with 8 teams of students from the FEEE, Ton Duc Thang University. In this round, all teams presented ideas about market analysis such as market demand for the product, the price the market would accept to buy that product, the plan to use the funds allocated to which parts, etc. Moreover, teams also clearly expressed ideas about product analysis such as product features, time and steps to complete a product, advantages and disadvantages of the product. Next, the jury provided feedback for each team, as well as common shortcomings in the ideas such as lack of technology in producing the product, cost implications when considering profits, etc. After that, all teams made efforts to present counterarguments to defend their ideas. At the end of the competition, the council had a meeting and decided to choose three teams: Newater, Blue Light, and K23 excellently go to the final round and were awarded funds to realize the product.

           To close the semi-final round, Ms. Dang Thi Thuy Phuong had a few words about the students who bravely came up with ideas, formed groups, and presented them before the competition. She also reminded teams who couldn't make it to the final round that besides the contest and the university, outside opportunities are waiting for them to seize. Finally, she wished the students well implement their ideas in reality. This round had ended successfully.
