MECA (Mitsubishi Electric Automation Cup) Competition

With the desire to nurture future automation technology talents, Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam cooperated with Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education to organize the MECA (Mitsubishi Electric Automation Cup) contest. It was competitive playground for engineering students of universities which encouraged them to manifest their talent, and an opportunity to exchange knowledge with each other. MECA 2021 - 2022 was even more meaningful when it carried the theme "Intelligent automation solutions in factories" towards automation initiatives development in production.

          The competition attracted the participation of students from six universities comprising Can Tho University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, Ton Duc Thang University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, and Tra Vinh University. The Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering had 03 student teams representing Ton Duc Thang University to participate in the final round of this competition organized at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education in May 14th, 2022.

          The topic "Smart Warehouse" from MATT team included students: Vo Van Truong, Nguyen Thanh An, Thanh Minh Thuan, Huynh Gia Loc, and Ho Dang Phuong Nam, with the mentoring of Dr. Le Anh Tuan won the third prize. The topic "Controlling the drying oven by AI and IoT" from Node Red team included students: Pham Ngoc Nam Trung, Tran Duc Duy, Le Hoang Anh Khoi, Nguyen Ngoc Thuy Linh with the advice from Dr. Tran Viet Hung won the best presentation award.
