The Robot Sumo competition is an annual event organized by the FEEE, held biennially with a total prize value of up to 7 million Vietnamese Dong (VND). This year, the competition attracted over 20 teams from different fields of study, divided into four brackets. MSc. Nguyen Thanh Quang shared his thoughts, stating: "The Robot Sumo 2023 competition is an opportunity for the participants to learn and acquire various skills. If they don't achieve the desired results this time, they will gain more experience for the next competition."

The final round of the Robot Sumo 2023 competition was filled with intense moments, especially during the showdown between two formidable opponents: Team 8 and Team 19. Team 19 was highly successful with their box-shaped Robot, featuring a long, low-to-the-ground blade, and a menacing touch was added with a layer of oil paint evenly coated on the metal blade. Knowing the strengths of their opponent, Team 8 exhibited keen awareness, cleverness, and tactical skills during the control process. In a thrilling three-round matches, Team 8 emerged victorious with a close score of 2-1, earning them the prize of 2,500,000 VND. Team 19 secured second place, receiving a reward of 2,000,000 VND. Despite facing various challenges during the competition. Team 23 demonstrated remarkable resilience and claimed third place with a prize of 1,500,000 VND.            The 2023 Sumo Robot Contest organized by the Electrical-Electronics Club of Ton Duc Thang University is a very meaningful tournament when it brings participants useful knowledge. Thereby, the success of the contest proved that the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering always pays attention to students and always creates opportunities for them to acknowledge practical experiences. Robot Sumo 2023 has ended and promises to come back again in the summer of 2024.
