In order to create opportunities for students to apply the knowledge they have learned into practice, while also creating a useful playground and opportunities for students to exchange and learn from each other, the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized the competition "Applying techniques to design MP3 player box”. Students registered in groups, each group would design and manufacture an MP3 player using the technical drawing software they have learned.
There were 46 contestants divided into 12 groups. The products of the competing groups were very diverse in shape and function, demonstrating the creativity of the author groups. The 2.1 speaker product of two students Trang Gia Thinh and Vo Thi Uyen Nhi excellently won the first prize. The speaker set is designed into modules and has a highly aesthetic design. The speaker has the function of playing music from USB or memory card, connecting to the phone via bluetooth. In addition, the device also allows connecting a microphone for use in meetings.

- Second prize: Le Hoang Tuan, Lam Van Hai, Huynh Le Truong Thinh, Nguyen Duc Thanh Tung, Tran Quoc Tuan.
- Third prize: Nguyen Le Phuong Uyen, Le Hoang Khang, Truong Tan Dung, Ly Vo Dong Giang, Nguyen Trong Tin, Dinh Cong Anh.
- Consolation prize: Nguyen Thanh Dai, Tran Minh Hoang, Nguyen Duong Truong Vu.
