With a deep understanding of the concerns and aspirations of high school students on the threshold of university, on March 30, 2024, at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (FEEE) proactively organized two interactive sessions aimed to help parents and students explore and shape their future careers. These events were “Admission Counseling, Career Orientation” and “Experience - Connecting High School Students”. At the same time, this was also an opportunity for everyone to visit and experience the international standard educational space at TDTU.
At 8:30 in the morning, at the booth of the FEEE, Lecturers, and students from the FEEE were very pleased to welcome and receive a lot of attention from parents and students. The professionalism and dedicated consultation of lecturers from various majors as Electrical Engineering, Automation and Control Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, and Mechatronics Engineering have answered, as well as helped students orientate suitable careers. In addition to providing information, admission methods, general knowledge about electrical majors, students then got to see, approach and use professional equipment to serve their future study program at the laboratories on the 9th floor of the TDTU.
In addition to the experiences related to the infrastructure and academics of the FEEE, the students also got to immerse themselves in the vibrant and lively atmosphere of the senior students in the FEEE through the "Experience - Connecting High School Students" program. Students from schools in downtown Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces confidently showcased their singing talents and interacted with the band of the FEEE. They experimented with graduation projects of previous cohorts such as air conditioner models, automatic engraving machines, etc. They participated in games organized by the Faculty Union and game models self-made by the students of the FEEE. Their enthusiasm was clearly shown at the end of the program when they sang together and took commemorative photos with the teachers and senior students of the FEEE.
The event was extremely successful and conveyed many meaningful messages. This is also the goal that the FEEE, as well as other faculties at TDTU, are aiming for high school students before the upcoming challenging university entrance exam. We hope that the knowledge and experiences that the high school students have gained from the program of the FEEE will become a solid foundation and spiritual support for their future decisions.
