The 9th International Conference on Advanced Engineering - Theory and Applications (AETA 2024) officially commenced on November 07, 2024 at Brno University of Technology (Czech Republic). Founded and first organized by Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) in 2013, this conference has become a prestigious annual scientific event. Its proceedings are published globally by Springer and indexed in the ISI Proceedings, EI-Compendex, SCOPUS, MetaPress, and Springerlink databases.
This year, the conference is hosted by Brno University of Technology (BUT) in the Czech Republic, and co-organized by TDTU, Ostrava Technical University (Czech Republic), and Pukyong National University (South Korea), following previous events held in Europe (AETA 2018), South America (AETA 2019), Vietnam (2022), and South Korea (2023). In the opening speech at the conference, Dr. Tran Thanh Phuong, Vice Dean of Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, TDTU has emphasized that AETA has confirmed its standing in the scientific community and has attracted many prestigious scientists, researchers, and experts to share their newest reseearch results.
Taking place from November 7 to 8, 2024, AETA 2024 has an acceptance rate of 57%, with contributions from authors across nine countries (Vietnam, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Pakistan, India, Italy, Finland, Malaysia, and Brunei). The research presented addresses theoretical and applied issues in key areas of national digital transformation, including Electrical Engineering, Automation and Control Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Material Science and Mechanical Engineering.
In the first keynote speech at the conference, Prof. Roman Senkerik (Tomas Bata University in Zlin, Czech Republic) has introduced a hot topic that currently attracts many researchers, that is the usage of AI (in term of Large Language Model) to support finding new research results in metaheuristic optimization algorithms. In another speech, Dr. Pavel Masek (Brno Unviersity of Technology) introduced the targets and the developmetal trend of cellular IoT intelligent networks, which is included in 5G standard for wireless communications, as well as provided some information on the implementation of 5G-IoT in industry, especially in Czech Republic.
