Power System Optimization Research Group (PSO)

1. Introduction

Power System Optimization Research Group (PSO) was established in early 2015 by Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU). The group focuses on meta-heuristic algorithms in aim to operate electrical power systems optimally such as optimal operation of multi thermal plants, optimal operation of multi hydro and thermal plants and optimal power flows.

2. Mission and vision

PSO is in charge of enhancing international publications of TDTU in famous journals indexed by ISI Web of Knowledge. Besides, this group is a part of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of TDTU to develop scientific research in terms of paper quality, training and researcher quantity.

3. Research topics

• Meta-heuristic algorithms for optimization problems in electrical engineering

• Optimal operation of multi thermal plants

• Optimal operation of multi hydro and thermal plants
